Mars appears to be orbiting the moon. Yesterday there was this rare constellation in the evening sky, with Mars orbiting quite close to the moon. My photo shows 67 superimposed images of 1/500 duration, taken 1 minute apart. Passing clouds temporarily obscure Mars until it finally disappears completely behind them. Too bad, because this orbit took about 6 hours. Mars would have appeared to be half-circling the moon.
